In honor and in memory of our friend Doug
Dickson, we would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Doug, who passed this past Sunday evening, September 16th,
2007. Doug was an incredible human being, a kind man with a great,
warm heart, and we shall forever miss his spirit. And his voice, and the unmeasurable service he provided to the Celtic Music community locally and nationally, indeed, internationally, with his syndicated program, Toss The Feathers. I had the privilege of spending time with Doug this past spring and summer putting together a compilation CD for the Dublin Irish Festival's Anniversary this year. I appreciated the graciousness of Doug opening his home to me, and how he invited my dog into his home as if she were a person. This speaks to Doug's splendid self. We shall miss him greatly, and we honor the passion and professionalism with which he imbued his commitment to
Celtic music as an art that moves so many of us deeply. I shall forever remember seeing Doug onstage at Stache's, celtic rocking an amazing and creative "cover" of Jimi Hendrix. Miss you, brother.

Sue Mogan released her latest CD, Lookin' Up, at this year's Dublin Irish Festival, and she gave a great performance there, with her cohort Kevin Sutton, and helped out by friends Sid Omasta and Craig Markley. Her show was so good she sold out of the CD's she brought! Now, that's entertainment. Gene Kelly, step aside. In fact, side step, kick, and shuffle aside. Working on her project was such a
pleasure--Sue's incredibly beautiful voice and personage is a joy to be around, and she is a willing and creative collaborator. None sweeter. Guest artists on the CD include Sandy Jones and of course cousin Pat Mogan, as well as Craig Markley, Sid Omasta, and her musical partner Kevin Sutton.
You can check out her new website at SueMogan.com. Thanks, Sue!
