Happy Holidays From GBS Records!

by Tom on December 22, 2011

Hello, all you wonderful folks.  We here at GBS want to wish you a superb holiday season this year.  Hope you’re enjoying it as much as we are.  We’re excited about several things this season, not the least of which is how well our friend and our own Eric French’s bandmate, Josh Krajcik  is doing on Fox‘s singing competition show The X-Factor.  Top 3 so far, and that’s pretty darned exciting!  Good luck, Josh!  We’re pulling for you!

Other fun news here at GBS;  we had the privilege and honor to work with another great singer, Gretchen King from The Phantods, in collaboration with our old friend Jerome Dillon (who Tom recorded and toured with when Jerome played drums for Howlin’ Maggie) on the soundtrack Jerome is composing for a major film in Los Angeles.  Gretchen tracked the vocals to two amazing songs for the film.  She’s a sweet person and an incredibly talented artist.  Next X-Factor star?  Who knows?!

Other projects at the studio recently; Austin Craig winding up tracking for his album, mixes for the lads from Slide for their project, Go, Robot, Go!, our old friend Robert Post (who’s helping again this year with BalletMet’s The Nutcracker) and speaking of BalletMet, we’re proud to say that their performance of Carmen received glowing reviews.  Our extremely talented singer/songwriter friend Jason Quicksall has been cutting tracks to his killer “Alligator” song here at GBS, and we’re continuing to work with singer/songwriter’s Jack Morris, as well as other great acts. Speaking of, Trey Pearson from Everyday Sunday was in recently cutting vocals for their new record, and we had the pleasure of mastering Mark Cantwil’s latest effort.  It’s a good life at GBS and we’re happy to be here.  And we hope you are happy to be alive and hope you’re enjoying this holiday season.

Peace and love to alls yalls,

Tom and Eric at GBS Records
