Oswald & The Herringbones will be playing a reunion gig this Saturday at Kobo, featuring songs from their last CD, “Time Doesn’t Matter,” for our good friend Chip Midnight’s birthday bash. Also playing are The Honey’s, who made their CD at OATH Studios with The Fabulous Johnson Brothers‘ own Doug Beale at the helm.
And then on Thurs, July 28th, OATH will also be doing a show at Espresso Yourself Music Cafe. This will feature music from the first CD, “This Is Not A Christmas Album,” with Michael Barone and Steve Sims, an all-ages show, so come on out and bring the family!
And as we said in our last post, at the McConnell Arts Center in July and August, for the Artist In Residence series, our good friends at The Guitar House Workshop, luthier John Bolzenius and his crew of fine craftsmen will be displaying their superb handmade guitars and other instruments, and detailing the various steps in the instrument-making process. The results of these artisan’s work are breathtakingly beautiful sounding and looking works of art. The GHW‘s own “artist in residence, Linda Langhorst, has her paintings as part of this inspiring collaboration. Not to be missed.
We encourage you all to visit this fine Arts Center and enjoy the fruits of these wonderful local artists.
peace, y’alls, and happy summer!
